Installing a vent on a cargo container has a number of benefits including reducing the inside temperature of your box by allowing heat to escape, preventing moisture buildup and reducing the likelihood of mold, increasing airflow and allowing fumes of toxins that build up in the container to escape to the outside.
Installing a vent yourself can be done with the six easy steps below.
Step 1: Carefully measure the vent to establish the size of the hole you will need to be cutting out of the cargo container.
Step 2: Place the vent right below the top cross beam. Center it between the outer corrugations of the container wall and mark its placement.
Step 3: Measure and mark where you will cut the hole in the cargo container based on your earlier measurements of the vent size.
Step 4: Cut a hole in the cargo container.
Step 5: Use silicone around the vent to prevent water from dripping down the cargo container wall after install.
Step 6: Use self tapping screws or bolts to fasten the vent to the cargo container wall.
A quick summary of the six steps are below:

They have an awesome website that offers a number of cargo container modifications, and if you like the vent in this video, you can reach their site at this link (we were not paid or solicited in any way to add this post, I honestly just think they have awesome stuff and info!).
