When most people think of a cargo container home, the first thing that comes to mind is how claustrophobic it must be. The idea of being stuck inside of an 8x20 or 8x40 box seems unbearable.
An easy and efficient solution that many tiny home builders utilize is the use of windows within the walls of the container to open up the space. I found this video that details a container home builder utilizing a large window within his container home to open up the space within his room.
You will see how he cuts out the space for the window, smooths out the area, welds the frame and screws in the window. He says the window now only opened up the space, but also gave him and his wife better cell phone reception!
The producer of the video, Paul Chambers, takes you step by step on how he adds the window into his home. The approach is a low cost solution to opening up a cargo container home and solving the idea of being stuck in a box. The video is roughly nine minutes and worth the view.
